Waste Characterization

Whether its from an industrial process, new construction, or a renovation, projects often generate wastes that need to be evaluated to determine what regulatory requirements apply and how the waste can be disposed. The process of determining the applicable regulatory requirements for managing a waste is known as characterization.  Characterization often involves sampling and analysis of the waste but not always.  Once a waste has been characterized disposal options can be formulated and a best value option selected.
